The Friends of West Ham Park are a group of local residents who love and use the park regularly.  We wanted to find ways to be more involved in the park's present activities and help the park management in the development of its future role in our community.

Keep up to date on what we're up to on our Facebook page

Do you love the park?
Can you fill in a short 3 minute survey and let the park know your views?
Many thanks!

Star Gazing
Friday 9th February 2018 7-8pm

Join us on our final Star Gazing events this autumn/winter. We'll see what constellations we can spot from the park.
This event is dependent on clear skies — and will be cancelled if the weather is unsuitable. Keep up to date on our Facebook and Twitter pages

Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th March 2018
Join us for some spring-time bird watching in the park. Everyone welcome!

Bat Walks
Thursday 23rd August and Friday 28th September 2018
We have tiny pipstrelle bats in the park - we don't know whether they actually live in the park but they do feed there, and just after sunset is the best time to see them. Come along on one of our popular free Bat Walks and try and see them! Everyone welcome - and yes we allow children on our Bat Walks! Bats are wild creatures so of course we can't guarantee they will appear

Newham's Biggest Leaf Pile
Sunday 4th November 2018

Our biggest and best - and dirtiest - event of the year!
Rake up some leaves and help us make a HUGE leaf pile - the bigger the better!
Then WE GET TO JUMP ON THE LEAF PILE AND HAVE LOTS OF FUN!
All ages welcome!

Park in the Dark
Friday 7th December 2018

This year's event hasn't even happened yet and we're already planning the one for 2018! Join us on our lantern walk through the park - after dark!

Your favourite tree 2016

The votes are all in and counted and we have a winner - a Beech Tree won
But we had the same number of votes for the Copper Beech and the Common Beech - so they both won!
