The Friends of West Ham Park are a group of local residents who love and use the park regularly.  We wanted to find ways to be more involved in the park's present activities and help the park management in the development of its future role in our community.

Keep up to date on what we're up to on our Facebook page

Do you love the park?
Can you fill in a short 3 minute survey and let the park know your views?
Many thanks!

Bat Walk II
Friday 22 September 2017. 7-8pm
Well we saw them in August - will they come out again? We have tiny pipstrelle bats in the park, we don't know whether they actually live in the park but they do feed there, and just after sunset is the best time to see them.So why not come along on one of our popular free Bat Walks and try and see them!
We'll meet on the Bandstand just before 7pm, learn a bit about them from our expert and then walk across the park to see if we can find any. Bats are wild creatures so of course we can't guarantee they will appear
This event free but you must pre-book via Eventbrite here
Note: the park will be closed before we finish the bat walk, there is no exit until the end of the event, and exit will be onto Portway only.
If you have booked a ticket and are unable to attend please cancel your ticket as these events are very popular and people may be waiting for a place. Any spare tickets will be available at the gate on the evening.

Wildlife Garden Maintenance
Sunday 29 October - 12-3pm
Our next planned day to help maintain this precious space for wildlife. If you can lend a hand weeding, mulching and generally tidying the area, come along and help out. You don't have to stay for the whole 3 hours, just as much time as you can spare. Gloves and tools provided.

Newham's Biggest Leaf Pile
Sunday 5 November 1-3.30pm
Our biggest and best - and dirtiest - event of the year!
Rake up some leaves and help us make a HUGE leaf pile - the bigger the better!
Then we'll spend a bit of time being crafty whilst the pile is heaped ever higher by the wonderful West Ham Park parkies and their tractor.
And then WE GET TO JUMP ON THE LEAF PILE AND HAVE LOTS OF FUN!
All ages welcome!
